In Luke 12:49, Jesus says, “I have come to set the earth on fire, and how I wish it were already blazing!”
John the Baptist said that the one who would come after him, Jesus, would “baptize with spirit and fire.”
The mission of TwoEdgeTalk is to enkindle the fire of faith in followers of the Catholic faith and those who are curious about what Catholics believe and do. The word “enkindle,” according to the dictionary, means to set afire, to incite, rouse, to make luminous and glowing. In the Prayer to the Holy Spirit, we ask the Holy Spirit to enkindle in us the fire of his love.
Our goal is to help Christian men and women become believers of authentic passion, people on fire, filled with a zeal to know God’s will, to know His truth and to live with a sincere desire to obey God in all aspects of life.
We will fulfill our mission with a variety of resources, a frequent blog, podcasts featuring lively interviews, articles and booklets that can be downloaded and links to other resources helpful to Christian men and women.
We pray that TwoEdgeTalk will be the sword of the Spirit, the sword of God’s Word, forged in the fire of faith, the fire of God’s love for humanity, the fire of Jesus’ love for His Father. If TwoEdgeTalk accomplishes its mission, more Catholic people and those who are sympathetic to the Catholic faith will be proclaiming the words of the Responsorial Psalm from the Mass on Wednesday of the 19th Week of Ordinary Time, “Blessed be God who filled my soul with fire!?
