    Deacon Tim sees life in the country as easier than it really is. In the days of Paul the churchs were built up in cities and not away from then. The world has changed so radically in the last seventy years that notions of moving to the country where families tended then to be larger is no longer a practical solution to how to live out a life of Christian love in a utopian dream of a bountiful country lifestyle.

    As Cyndi notes, the Internet has replaced the General Store and Barber Shop where news if the locality was shared to a world new arena. For the most part the Main Street of old moved first to small Mall and is now present in Wal-Mart 24/7.

    If God meets us where we are, then we need to be ready to say "Lord here I am; what is your will for me today, and right now."

    The days of the desert hermits are long gone, and for good reason. Mother Theresa could have retired to a country place in her native Albania; instead she saw that God's work was to be done in a teeming city in India.
