Thing One: my Husband The Convert has never been comfortable with this sacrament and, in fact, avoids it like the plague. We've been talking about it more lately because he's been diagnosed with mild/moderate depression and his pastoral counselor suggested he avail himself of this sacrament regularly. Thing Two: I am teaching the Reconciliation preparation class for this year's crop of second graders. It is such a joyous and beautiful experience. I love being able to share this wonderful gift of God's love with them. I thank you for several biblical references to use during my prayer service tomorrow morning. I enjoyed being able to read them a children's book and make them see how it's really all about contrition, unending love and reconciliation - Where the Wild Things Are...think about the story. The connections are there. Thanks so much for this pod cast. Oh, and I'll add "stealing from my boss" to my list for my next Reconciliation, since I am at work!
